Now July almost here, we are starting to get a lot of calls for wasps.

It is looking like we are going to get a lot of wasps again this season, with the summer warming up. The recent hot weather we've had, but also a fairly the concise winter, and warmish Spring (with no real cold snaps) has produced a lot of wasps again.

As June slips into July, the nest sites are becoming more apparent. You'll see lots of wasps flying in and out of a hole around your property. Usually the nest is hidden in a cavity, or perhaps in the loft space. Currently wasp nests contain 200 to 300 wasps, but are multiplying fast. By late July, August there could be well over 1,000.

Around now, it might be a bit risky to attempt to deal with the wasp issue yourself. We now advocate using professional wasp treatment, from a professional pest controller.
